Baby Bites – Music Video
Atlanta-based grunge band Baby Bites commissioned us for videography and editing on two of their songs, “Teeth” and “Relief.” Shot by Kenneth Scofield.
For a grunge band, the edits needed texture. I leaned into grain, darker themes, and overlays to match their sound and energy. One of the creative challenges was that the live recordings and final tracks did not always line up, so I pulled moments from other parts of the set to make guitar strums, vocals, and lighting hits land on the beat.
"Teeth"
Shot at Aisle 5. I developed the edit with some creative direction collaboration from Kenneth. The lighting was heavily backlit, which made the footage tricky to work with. I spent extra time in the edit finding ways to shape the contrast and use the silhouettes to our advantage.
"Relief"
Shot at Bonhouse. Both Kenneth and I worked on the edit for this one. The footage was more impromptu, so there was not much that matched up vocally. Instead, we focused on capturing the vibe of the show, cutting to the rhythm and using overlays and grain to give it a heavier, more atmospheric feel that matched the song.
